Health Minister informed that the decision to impose new restrictions in the state will be taken in 2 days.
Mumbai: Against the backdrop of doubling the number of Covid 19 patients in Maharashtra in the last two days, we will make a decision on the ban in the next two days after discussing with the Chief Minister, said state Health Minister Rajesh Tope at a news conference in Mumbai.
He said that due to the increase in the number of patients in the capital Delhi, the restrictions have been tightened there as well as in Maharashtra, there will be a discussion on whether to tighten the restrictions.
In the state, 87 per cent of people have taken the first dose of vaccine and 57 per cent of people have also taken the second dose of vaccine, he said.
Though the positivity rate in Mumbai has come down to 4 per cent, Tope appealed to the citizens to strictly follow the rules.
