Home Department issued guidelines regarding the program organized on the occasion of 31st December and New Year’s celebrations.
Mumbai: In the last few days, there has been a new threat of omecron virus infection in the wake of coronavirus infection. Considering the high probability of its spread among the citizens; The Department of Home Affairs has issued guidelines to welcome the New Year on 31st December 2021 (end of the year) and New Year 2022 in a very simple way to take care of their health.
In connection with Corona, on 31st December 2021 and on 1st January 2022, on the occasion of New Year’s celebration, citizens should celebrate New Year’s celebration at home as simple as possible without leaving home. The state has banned the gathering of more than five persons from December 25 from 9:00 pm to 6:00 am. These orders must be obeyed.
Considering the contagious situation of Covid-19, the instructions given by the government should be strictly followed. Events for the 31st December 2021 and New Year, 2022 Celebrations will be allowed to attend up to 50% of the available seating capacity in the enclosed hall, while events held in the open space will be allowed to attend within 25% of the available capacity. This place will not be crowded in any way and a safe distance will be maintained. It is also important to pay special attention to the use of masks and sanitisers. Guidelines were also issued to disinfect the area.
Citizens over the age of 60 and children under the age of ten should avoid going out of the house for safety and health reasons. Also, on 31st December, the Home Department has instructed the citizens to pay special attention to ensure that social distance (social distance) is maintained and masks and sanitisers are used.
Citizens need to take care of their health in view of the outbreak of corona. Religious/cultural events and processions should not be organized on the occasion of the New Year’s celebrations.
On the first day of the new year, most of the citizens go to religious places. Social distance should be observed without crowding the place at the same time. Also, the concerned should take appropriate precautionary measures from the point of view of health and hygiene. Fireworks should not be set off. The rules regarding noise pollution should be strictly followed.
The Home Department has also clarified that strict adherence to the rules prescribed by the Urban Development Department, Relief and Rehabilitation, Health, Environment, Medical Education Department as well as the concerned Municipal Corporation, Police and Local Administration will be mandatory to prevent the spread of Covid 19 and especially Omaicron virus.
