Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar congratulates the winners of the Maharashtra National Women’s Kho-Kho Championship at Jabalpur and also to the runners-up men’s team of the state.
Mumbai: – The Deputy Chief Minister and President of the Maharashtra Olympic Association Ajit Pawar has congratulated the Maharashtra women’s team and the runners-up men’s team which have won the 23rd title so far in the 54th National Kho-Kho Championship held at Jabalpur.
The Deputy Chief Minister has extended special appreciation to all the teammates, including Maharashtra captain Priyanka Ingle, who won the Rani Lakshmibai award for the best female player. Although the Maharashtra team was the runner-up, 11 out of the 12 players in the winning Railway team are from Maharashtra, which is a matter of pride, he said.
The Deputy Chief Minister also congratulated Mahesh Shinde of Railways who won the Eklavya award for the best male player and also the men’s team of Kolhapur who came third. The Deputy Chief Minister has also said that the success achieved by the players of Maharashtra in the Kho-Kho game, which is a test of speed, agility and determination, is a feature of the soil here.
