Vice President’s statement that the country’s new education policy is imitating the ‘Nai Talim’ given by Mahatma Gandhi.

Delhi: Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu has stated that the new education policy of the country is following the ‘Nai Talim’ given by Mahatma Gandhi. He was speaking at an online program organized on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee of Mahatma Gandhi Hindi University, Wardha today.

The new education policy focuses on mother tongue education in primary and secondary schools, as well as skills training to promote entrepreneurship among students, he said.

On this occasion, the President unveiled the statue of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhavan and Chandrashekhar Azad Hostel through e-medium. The symbol of the university was also unveiled on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee.

Union Minister for Social Justice Ramdas Athavale, Wardha MP Ramdas Tadas and Chancellor of the University Rajneesh Kumar Shukla were present on the occasion.
