Shirdi International Airport crosses a record level of 1 million passengers.
Mumbai: Shirdi International Airport, which was started four years ago, has crossed the record milestone of one million passengers. This goal was achieved by liaising with all the airlines and creating new passenger facilities.
Passenger transport service was started from Shirdi International Airport on 01 October 2017. The airline has crossed the record milestone of 1 million passengers on January 3, 2022.
While achieving this target, about 13,000 flights were recorded at Shirdi Airport. Shirdi airport has been closed for the past few months due to the lockout. Shirdi Airport has been carefully monitored by the Maharashtra Airport Development Company.
Shirdi is the fourth fastest-growing airport in the state after Pune, Mumbai and Nagpur. At Shirdi Airport, SpiceJet, IndiGo Airlines started services to Delhi-Hyderabad and Chennai.
