In the Corona Preventive Vaccination Campaign, Maharashtra has once again performed vigorously today, setting a record of vaccinating 10 lakh 96 thousand citizens in a single day. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Health Minister Rajesh Tope have taken note of the incomparable work done by the health department by vaccinating around 11 lakh citizens on the same day and congratulated the health system for this.

Health officials and staff today proved that more than 10 lakh vaccinations can be given in a day and the state has the capacity to vaccinate more than that, said Health Minister Tope. He also said that more efforts will be made on behalf of the department.

As many as 10 lakh 96 thousand 493 people were vaccinated through 5200 vaccination centres till 7 pm today in the Corona Preventive Vaccination Campaign. Additional Chief Secretary of the Health Department, Dr Pradeep Vyas, has said that the number is likely to increase till late at night.

A few days ago, the number of doses given in the state has gone up to 5 crores and Maharashtra has achieved this record after Uttar Pradesh.

10 lakh 96 thousand 493 citizens were vaccinated till 7 pm today. Earlier, on July 3, the state had set a record by vaccinating 8 lakh, 11 thousand citizens. On the eve of Independence Day, the state broke the previous record by vaccinating 9 lakh, 64 thousand 460 citizens. After today’s highest number of vaccinations, a new record has been set in the name of Maharashtra, said Dr Vyas.
