Action against those who buy and sell interstate counterfeit drugs.
Mumbai: The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cracked down on wholesalers selling and buying counterfeit drugs. Following a complaint lodged by the Food and Drug Administration with the Intelligence Department and the manufacturer of M / s Intas Pharmaceutical Pvt. Ltd.; Based on confidential information that counterfeit drugs like Gobucel Injection, 10% (Intravenous Human Normal Immunoglobulin for Intravenous Use IP 10%) Batch No.97130072), M / s.Intas Pharmaceuticals, Ahemdabad are being sold in some states of the country.
Jogeshwari Pharma, Ghate Complex, Chalisgaon District, Jalgaon The firm received a non-purchase bill of 220 vials of suspected counterfeit drug from Chandigarh and it was found that it was sold to M / s Srikridha International Healthcare in Punjab, which has no license to sell drugs.
Further investigation into the matter also revealed that M / s Jogeshwari Pharma, Ghate Complex, Chalisgaon had shifted from the sanctioned area to the unlicensed area. As a result, other drugs worth about Rs 2.77 lakh, which were available at the time of the action, were seized under the panchayat.
In this case, M/s.Jogeshwari Pharma, Ghate Complex, Chalisgaon by purchasing suspected Gobucel Injection 10% without purchase bill; A case No. 446/2021 has been registered against the owner of the firm Jitendra Prabhakar Khodke and the owner of M / s Srikridha International Healthcare Sunil Dhal under various sections of the IPC at Chalisgaon Police Station for selling it to a firm without a license to sell drugs.
In this operation, Mr G.R. Rokade, Assistant Commissioner, VR Ravi Drug Inspector, Suresh Deshmukh, Drug Inspector Nashik and Assistant Commissioner of Jalgaon office Shri Taskhedkar and Drug Inspector Shri Anil Manikrao participated. Further investigation is being carried out by the Food and Drug Administration, Jalgaon and Chalisgaon police.
This action was taken under the guidance of Food and Drug Administration Minister Dr Rajendra Shingane, Commissioner of Administration Parimal Singh and Joint Commissioner (Vigilance) Samadhan Pawar.
