At present, the share of agricultural education in national education is 0.93 per cent and it is expected to go up to three per cent. Agriculture Minister Dadaji Bhuse said that the inclusion of agriculture in the school curriculum would not only create interest in agriculture among the students but also create agricultural commitment in rural areas while creating social commitment to farmers. The Minister of State for Agriculture, Dr Vishwajeet Kadam said that this education will inculcate in the students the importance of maintaining the balance of the environment as well as the need to promote agriculture based on biotechnology.
