Considering the importance of IPR and Patent filing Dr. D Y Patil Institute of Management Studies ( DYPIMS) is organizing an online workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Patent filing.
IPR provides specific exclusive rights to the originator or producer of that property, in order to enable them to earn commercial benefits from their creative efforts or reputation. There are several types of intellectual property protection like patent, copyright, trademark, etc.
The protection of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) is important in today’s very competitive business world and for its further growth in areas such as research and innovation. So IPR requirement is also essential to health and safety. Whereas Patents provide a legal right of ownership and the right for legal recourse if someone offends on your idea. Otherwise, people can steal your ideas and creations and sell them as their own.
The objectives of the workshop are, To understand the fundamentals of IPR, To gain insights on different forms of IPR, Process of Patent filing. The online workshop is on 28th May 2021 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.
The resource person for this online workshop is Dr. Harunrashid A Kadri ( Associate Prof. G E Society’s N B Thakur Law College, Nasik) and Advocate Uma Bhattad ( IPR Consultant).
