Mangonet and Anarnet online systems for registration.
Pune: In order to export mangoes and pomegranates to the European Union, USA, Canada and other countries, exportable orchards need to be registered under ‘Mangonet’ and ‘Anarnet’ online system respectively. Both of these online systems have been in operation since Thursday.
The Department of Agriculture has set a district-wise exportable mango and pomegranate orchard registration target to boost exports considering the area under mango and pomegranate crops in the state. In 2020-21, 11,995 mangoes were registered under Mangonet and 1,518 pomegranate orchards were registered under Anarnet system.
In the current year 2021-22, a special drive is being carried out to register exportable mango and pomegranate orchards under Mangonet and Anarnet system. Agricultural Assistants, Agricultural Supervisors, Board of Agriculture Officers have been authorized as inspection officers for registration and inspection of exportable mango and pomegranate orchards as per the targets given in all the districts. Apeda has launched the ‘Farm Registration’ mobile app for online registration of exportable mango and pomegranate orchards.
The maximum number of mango and pomegranate growers should register their orchards by December 31. State Director of Horticulture, Dr Kailas Mote has appealed to the nearest Agriculture Assistant, Mandal Agriculture Officer or Taluka Agriculture Officer for more information.
