Appeal to the Department of Social Justice to take advantage of schemes for disabled students.

Mumbai: The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, Department of Persons with Disabilities is running various schemes such as Pre-Matric Scholarship, Post-Matric Scholarship, Higher Grade Education Scholarship, National Overseas Scholarship and National Fellowship. The Assistant Commissioner of Social Welfare, Mumbai City has appealed to the beneficiaries to take advantage of these schemes. National Scholarship Portal

Detailed information regarding Scholarship Scheme is given below. Scholarships for parents with an annual income of Rs. 2.50 lakhs are Rs. 500 / – per month for day scholars and Rs. 800 / – per month for students living in hostels.

Post Matric Scholarship for Divyang students includes Master Degree and Diploma level courses from 11th standard. Parents with an annual income of Rs. 2.50 lakhs can avail of the benefit. Surveillance allowance rates for the course vary. 900-1600 per month for students living in this hostel and Rs. 550-750 per month for day scholars.

Higher Education Scholarships for Disabled Students include undergraduate, postgraduate degree and diploma courses in 241 notified institutes for excellence. The scheme is applicable to parents whose annual income is 6.00 lakh. Rs.3000 per month for hostel students and Rs.1500 for day scholar The monthly maintenance allowance, annual book grant will be Rs.5000 and the annual tuition fee will be up to Rs.2.00 lakhs. 30,000 / – (once in full course) for the purchase of computer with equipment can be reimbursed -30,000 / – (once in full course).

The procedure for applying for Pre-Matric Scholarship, Post-Matric Scholarship, Higher Grade Education Scholarship for disabled students is being implemented through National Scholarship Portal. Apply online on National Scholarship Portal (www.scholarship.gov.in). The National Overseas Scholarship for Disabled Students includes a master’s degree and a doctorate degree from a foreign university. 9900 pounds (Great Britain) and the US $ 1500 for other countries with annual maintenance allowance, tuition fee, annual emergency allowance, air travel cost, etc. There are scholarship rates. The eligibility and evaluation of the candidate as per the terms of the scheme will be done in the prescribed application given on the website www.disabilityaffairs.gov.in after the candidate. The scheme application will be advertised in the national newspaper and The selection committee will be set up by the Government of India.

National Fellowship for Divyang Students in Indian University M.Sc. Phil and PhD. These courses include. Parents whose annual income is no higher. For such children Rs.25000 / – for JRF (first two years) and Rs.28000 / – per month for SRF (from 3rd year till the completion of course) as well as emergency grant, escort allowance/reader allowance, house rent allowance etc. (at the applicable rate) ) These are the scholarship rates. The selection for the fellowship is done by the University Grants Commission. Candidates can apply online whenever the application is invited by UGC.

Free coaching includes competitive examinations for jobs in the government public sector and admission for technology and vocational courses. Parents with an annual income of Rs. 6.00 lakhs. Scholarship and Special Disability Allowance Rs. 5000 / – per month for external candidates and Rs. 2500 / – per month for local candidates will be payable.

Pre-Matric Scholarships for Disabled Students, Post-Matric Scholarships for Disabled Students, Higher Education Scholarships for Disabled Students. All these three scholarship schemes are being implemented through the National Scholarship Portal and the scholarship amount is paid directly to the beneficiaries through DBT through the PFMS system.

Applicants should apply online on National Scholarship Portal (www.scholarship.gov.in). Date of Student Registration for Scholarship Scheme Post Matric Scholarship for Student and Higher Grade Education Scholarship for Disabled Students. 30 November 2021, verification by the organization will be done on 15 December 2021.
