The selection of Asha Bhosale for the ‘Maharashtra Bhushan’ award is an honour for the state government – Cultural Affairs Minister Amit Deshmukh.
Cultural Affairs Minister Amit Deshmukh said that it was an honour for the state government to unanimously select senior singer Asha Bhosale for the Maharashtra Bhushan award. Mrs Asha Bhosale has expressed her feelings in the words ‘Maharashtra Bhushan’ award is a compliment from the family. The state government’s 2021 ‘Maharashtra Bhushan’ award has been announced for senior singer Asha Bhosale. Minister for Cultural Affairs Amit Deshmukh paid a courtesy call on senior singer Asha Bhosale at her residence in Lower Parel this morning. Music director Rahul Ranade and officials of the Directorate of Cultural Affairs were present on the occasion.
Mr Deshmukh also presented a bouquet of flowers to senior singer Asha Bhosale, the ruling on Maharashtra Bhushan Award, the book ‘Suvarnarang’ based on Asha Bhosale’s career and the Lokrajya, the mouthpiece of the Maharashtra government and the publication of the Directorate General of Information and Public Relations.
Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar and Maharashtra Bhushan Award winner Asha Bhosle are a miracle and divine power in music. And that is why Asha Bhosale has been unanimously selected for this award. The state government has insisted on starting a music university in Maharashtra and for this, the help of music veterans will be sought, said Shri. Deshmukh said.
