Attractive registration number available for private four-wheelers.
Pune: The Deputy Regional Transport Officer, Pune, has appealed to apply in advance to retain the attractive registration numbers in the series starting for private four-wheelers.
A new series for four-wheelers is being launched soon at the Regional Transport Office. If an attractive registration number is available, the citizen is required to apply in the prescribed form so that he can easily get it by paying the prescribed fee. This application and check (DD) will have to be submitted in person at the new registration department of the office by 10.30 am to 3.30 pm on 12 October 2021 along with proof of address, photo identity card, attested copy of PAN card. D.D. ‘R.T.O. The name of the nationalized or scheduled bank should be from Pune. In addition, it will be mandatory for the applicant to attach an attested copy of the PAN card.
Accompanying the application is proof of address (electricity payment, telephone payment etc.) prescribed in Central Motor Vehicle Rules 1989 as well as Maharashtra Motor Vehicle Rules 1989 and an attested copy of photo identity card for identity (Aadhar Identity Card, Election Commission Identity Card, Passport, PAN Card etc.).
In case of multiple applications for the same number, the list of applicants will be posted on the office notice board on October 13 after 10.30 am. Applicants in this list should submit a single DD of the highest amount for auction to the office in a sealed envelope by 3 pm on 13th October. DD should be more than Rs. 301 / – and in the name of ‘RTO Pune’. The envelopes will be opened on the same day at 4 pm in the Co-operative Hall of the Regional Transport Office in the presence of the Deputy Regional Transport Officer and the Assistant Regional Transport Officer. The relevant preference number will be distributed to the applicant who submits the maximum amount of DD for a preference order.
Once registered registration number cannot be changed. If the vehicle is not submitted for registration within 30 days from the date of registration, the reserved registration number will be automatically cancelled and the fee will be credited to the Government treasury. Fees provided for reserving any specific registration number will not be refunded under any circumstances.
An application in the prescribed format for an attractive and preferred number as well as a sample of the representative’s authorization is available at the Sub-Regional Transport Office. The Regional Transport Office has also informed that all the applicants coming to the office should strictly abide by all the rules of Covid-19.
