Review of Barty and various social welfare schemes.Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute

Pune: Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute (BARTI) State Scheduled Castes and Tribes Commission Chairman J. Mo. Abhyankar reviewed various schemes and initiatives being implemented for the Scheduled Castes through Barti Sanstha.

On this occasion, Commissioner of Social Welfare Dr Prashant Naranware, Director General of BARTI Dhammajyoti Gajbhiye, Member of Maharashtra State Commission for Scheduled Castes and Tribes
RD Shinde, Shri KR Medhe, Barti’s Registrar Indira Aswar etc. were present.

Mr Abhyankar said that in order to increase the level of education of Scheduled Caste students, Barty should conduct a survey of unemployed students pursuing UPSC, MPSC, skill development training while holding SC degree, diploma holders, industrial training centres, information technology engineering etc. According to their educational qualifications, district wise information should be collected and they should be given training in various fields to get employment. Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Special Grant Scholarship Scheme income limit should be relaxed. Barty suggested speeding up the research and training program.

Mr Abhyankar greeted the Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar by offering a wreath to the oil painting and image. Mr Gajbhiye informed about various schemes and activities in Barti. Commissioner Dr Naranware gave information about various schemes and activities of the Social Justice and Special Assistance Department.

The meeting was attended by Barty and officials from the Social Welfare Department.
