82 trainee doctors infected with a corona in Miraj; instructions of Medical Education Minister to submit a factual report.
MUMBAI: Medical Education Minister Amit Deshmukh has taken serious note of the corona infection of 82 trainee doctors of Miraj Government Medical College and has instructed the dean of the college to submit a factual report in this regard immediately.
Medical College Hospitals provide medical services to trainee doctors, doctors and paramedics as well as other staff. Medical Education Minister Amit Deshmukh asked about the factors that have contributed to the high incidence of the corona.
He also instructed to ensure strict adherence to the rules while providing medical services and to ensure that the manpower working in the medical college hospital would not be disturbed under any circumstances.
In view of the incident at the Government Medical College in Miraj, he also instructed the Medical Education Secretary to ensure that other government medical colleges in the state strictly abide by the rules and to ensure that the manpower working in the medical field is not disturbed under any circumstances.
Further action will be taken as soon as the report is received, said Medical Education Minister Amit Deshmukh.
