Book exhibition organized by Bhandarkar Sanstha from 11th to 19th December.
Pune: Bhandarkar Oriental Studies Research Institute has organized a grand book exhibition for a period of 10 days from 11th to 19th December. The inauguration will be held on Saturday (December 11) at 10 am at the hands of Ganesh Bidkar (Leader of the House, Pune Municipal Corporation).
Sadanand More will be present, said Bhupal Patwardhan, working president of the organization in a press conference. Trustees Pradip Rawat, Rahul Solapurkar, Srinivas Kulkarni and Dattatraya Pashte of Diamond Publications were present on the occasion.
The exhibition, which is free for all, will be held from 10 am to 8 pm and is being held in association with Diamond Publications. About 10,000 books on various subjects will be available in the exhibition. There will also be 300 different books of Bhandarkar Sanstha available for sale.
In this, 40 per cent discount will be given on rare volumes of books like History of Dharmashastra (5 volumes), Chikitsak edition of Mahabharata (19 volumes) and Vedic Bibliography. Apart from this, Bhandarkar Sanstha has recently reprinted 14 rare texts like Yoga Patanjali, Paryushan Kalpasutra, Budhbhushan, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s Politics, Patanjali Grammar and these texts will also be on sale in this exhibition. Apart from this, the fifth volume of Shivcharitra of Bharat Itihas Sanshodhan Mandal will also be published in this exhibition.
The rare books – Balbharat, Rasopanishad, Freedom from Vision, Lokdevata Draupadi, Buddhabhushanam will also be published soon by Bhandarkar Sanstha. The Bhandarkar Institute has completed the digitization of about 16,000 rare texts and is now available for online reading. This special service of digitization is now available for other organizations as well.
