Build a Characteristic Society with Devotion, Knowledge and Karma – Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari.
Pune: Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has appealed to the people to work towards establishing a character-rich society and a sense of cosmopolitanism through devotion, knowledge and deeds.
Dr Vishwanath Karad was speaking at the closing ceremony of the 26th Sant Shri Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Shri Tukaram Maharaj Lecture Series organized at MIT World Peace University Pune. Founder President of the Society Dr Vishwanath Karad, Sunil Deodhar, Vice-Chancellor Dr Ravi Kumar Chitnis, Swati Chate, General Secretary of the organization were present.
Mr Koshyari said that many sages in India have worked to awaken society with their thoughts at every stage of time. The country can be glorified by remembering this glorious history. The work started by MIT is a guide to the awakening of culture based on Indian thought.
Sacrifice and sacrifice of saints and revolutionaries are what motivates us for patriotism. The knowledge of our sages, the principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and Ek Sat is the guide to the world. The combination of intellectual, spiritual and physical strength will bring balance to the world, otherwise powerful nations will dominate others.
The knowledge in the ‘Gita’ presented in Dnyaneshwari is wonderful. The idea of cosmopolitanism connects man. Dnyaneshwar has beautifully presented the idea of adding karma to spirituality in ‘Gita’. He hoped that these ideas would reach society through lectures.
Dr Vishwanath Karad said that Indian culture and knowledge is a guide to the world. India is the land of science. Here is a beautiful combination of spirituality and science. The organization has been established with the inspiration of this Indian thought.
Mr Devdhar, Executive President of the Society Dr Rahul Karad expressed his views on this occasion. In the introduction, Vice-Chancellor Milind Pandey gave information about the lecture series.
