Cabinet approves implementation of National Action Plan against Drug Abuse (NAPDDAR) in the state – Information by Social Justice Minister Dhananjay Munde.

Mumbai: The problem of drug abuse and abuse is on the rise and the main causes of this problem are mental stress, lifestyle changes, social and economic factors. It takes time to plan and prevent it. Through the Department of Social Justice to improve the health, nutrition and quality of citizens, taking into account the constitutional provisions in this regard; Social Justice Minister Dhananjay Munde said in a press conference at the Sahyadri Guest House after the cabinet meeting that the proposal for a National Action Plan for the Prevention of Alcohol, Alcohol and Drug Abuse was approved by the Cabinet.

With a proposal for a national action plan to prevent drug abuse; A total amount of Rs. 2 crores 74 lakhs for the financial year 2018-19 and a total amount of Rs. 13 crores 70 lakhs for the next five years is being proposed for the approval of the Central Government.

For this purpose, an annual expenditure of Rs. 13 crores 70 lakhs has been approved in the Cabinet meeting.
