Citizens should take initiative for vaccination – Union Minister of State Bhagwat Karad

Memorandum of Understanding between Bajaj Group and District Administration at Lasur Station.

Citizens should follow the government’s instructions to stay away from the coronavirus. Use a mask, wash your hands frequently, adhere to social distinctions. Union Minister of State for Finance Dr Bhagwat Karad appealed to the people to take initiative to get every eligible citizen vaccinated.

The Bajaj Group and the district administration reached an agreement on the free covid vaccine at Pandav Lawns at Lasur station. Dr Karad was speaking at this time. MLA Prashant Bomb, Zilla Parishad Vice President LG Gaikwad, Collector Sunil Chavan, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Nilesh Gatne, Janakidevi Bajaj Gram Vikas Sanstha President C.P. Tripathi, Kishore Dhanayat, Panchayat Samiti Chairperson, Sarpanch etc. were present.

Dr Karad has done many notable works for the Bajaj group out of social responsibility. The Bajaj Group helped the government a lot during the Kovid period. It is commendable that six lakh covid vaccines have been made available to the state free of cost to protect the citizens from the corona. It is imperative that every citizen be vaccinated to avoid the risk of corona disease. He also said that the largest vaccination campaign in the world is being carried out in India. Karad said.

On behalf of his administration, District Collector Chavan thanked the Bajaj Group for providing two lakh 30 thousand free vaccines for the district. Earlier, a vaccination camp was conducted by the Bajaj Group in Pandharpur. The Bajaj Group has always performed well as a social responsibility. The Bajaj Group provided six lakh free vaccines in the state from the CSR fund. Out of which one lakh 15 thousand have been made available for Aurangabad city, one lakh 15 thousand for Aurangabad rural area. It includes 75,000 vaccines for Gangapur-Khultabad taluka.

Gangapur- Khultabad, Soygaon, Sillod talukas will be vaccinated on a large scale. In Khultabad taluka, domestic and foreign tourists come to Verul for important places like world-famous caves, Ghrishneshwar temple which is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. Ajanta is also a world-famous tourist destination in Sillod. This place also attracts a large number of tourists. Tourists should be convinced that citizens have been vaccinated in this area and contribute to the tourism industry. Vaccination will help keep the health of the people in the area safe, said District Collector Chavan.

The two lakh 30 thousand free vaccines given to the district by the Bajaj Group are worth about Rs 13 crore. The provision of this vaccine to the district by the Bajaj Group will help the citizens to get great relief. Such an innovative and commendable initiative from the CSR fund will continue to be ideal for other industries as well.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Industry Minister and District Guardian Minister Subhash Desai have been urging citizens to be self-disciplined in order to protect themselves from the coronavirus. According to him, every citizen should wear a mask, wash their hands frequently and observe the social distance.

Mr Tripathi also said that vaccination is required in every village. He appealed to the citizens for vaccination saying that some amount of vaccine has been made available through the group.

MLA Bombay gave detailed guidance on the purpose behind the program and the vaccination program for the citizens of Gangapur, Khultabad taluka and their usefulness.

On behalf of the district administration, District Collector Sunil Chavan, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Group and Shri. Tripathi signed the MoU. The program started with the lighting of lamps.
