Co-operative movement helps in the development of the area – Home Minister Dilip Walse-Patil.
Pune: – Home Minister Dilip Walse-Patil stated that the cooperative movement helps in the development of the area along with the development of farmers.
He was speaking on the occasion of the inauguration of the new premises of Muktadevi Rural Non-Agricultural Credit Society at Kalamb in Ambegaon taluka. Devendra Shah, President of Sharad Sahakari Bank, Vishnu Hinge, President of Pune District Co-operative Milk Producers Association, Ramesh Kanade, Director of Bhimashankar Co-operative Sugar Factory, Ankit Jadhav, President of Muktadevi Rural Non-Agricultural Co-operative Credit Society were present on this occasion.
Mr Valse-Patil said that the government is trying to provide basic facilities like water, cheap electricity, paved roads for the development of rural areas. Farmers are also assisted by sugar factories, various cooperative societies, district central banks and milk producers’ unions. Therefore, farmers should make progress by doing agribusiness along with agriculture. He said that help would be provided for the development of the Kalamb area.
Mr Valse-Patil also said that the management of financial institutions should be transparent and care should be taken to ensure that no injustice is done to any factor while allocating loans.
