Complete the work of unfinished households in Mahaavas Abhiyan – Dr Anil Ramod
Pune: In the second phase of Mahaavas Abhiyan, the work of unfinished houses should be completed and the work of approved houses should be started immediately, said Additional Divisional Commissioner Dr Anil Ramod.
He was speaking at a divisional workshop on Mahavas Abhiyan organized by the Divisional Commissioner’s Office through a television system. The workshop was attended by Deputy Commissioner Vijay Mulik, Deputy Director of State Cell Nitin Kale, Assistant Commissioner Dr Seema Jagtap.
Dr Ramod said that the second phase of the campaign has been started on November 20 to provide housing to the needy. Workshops are being organized at various levels on the campaign to expedite the work of various housing schemes of the government and to address the problems of regional systems. Special efforts should be made to provide space for the construction of houses for the beneficiaries under the campaign. He said that the waiting list should be finalized immediately after holding Gram Sabha.
He informed that ‘Demo House’ will also be constructed at the district level. Saying that the Pune division has performed well in the first phase of the campaign, Dr Ramod hoped that the officers would make special efforts to make the second phase a success.
In the introduction, Shri. Mulik gave information about various activities of the campaign through a presentation. He said that MNREGA and Gharkool Yojana should coordinate with each other to speed up the campaign.
At this time Shri. Kale also gave guidance on the working of the campaign. The workshop was attended by District Collectors, Chief Executive Officers, Project Directors of District Rural Development Agency and Group Development Officers from all the five districts of the department through an online system.
