Deglaur Assembly by-election polls peaceful; 63.95 per cent of voters performed their duties.
Nanded: – A total of 412 polling stations were completed today for the Deglaur Assembly by-election. On behalf of the district administration, the election process was conducted peacefully on the basis of Covid-19, taking appropriate precautions and testing various criteria. Voters in the constituency also showed a strong attitude towards the democratic system and achieved 63.95 per cent turnout during the day. Regarding the cooperation given by the voters, District Magistrate and District Returning Officer Dr Vipin Itankar thanked everyone.
The total number of male voters for the Deglaur Assembly by-election is 1 lakh 54 thousand 92 while the total number of female voters is 1 lakh 44 thousand 256. Assuming 5 other voters, the total number of voters is 2 lakh 98 thousand 353. Out of these, a total of 1 lakh 90 thousand 800 voters exercised their voting right and national duty in today’s polling. This includes 1 lakh 768 male voters, 90 thousand 31 female voters and 1 other voter. The total turnout was 63.95 per cent.
The administration had appointed 1,648 staff and 29 field officers to ensure the smooth conduct of the elections. Voting took place at 412 polling stations.
