It is the dream of the Prime Minister of the country that no one should be left homeless. India is a progressive country and the country is making progress in every field. Maharashtra does not lag behind in implementing any national or state level scheme. The work done by the Pune division to extend the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) and state-sponsored schemes to the deprived sections is commendable, said Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao.
The awards were distributed at the Divisional Commissioner’s Office to the best performing districts under ‘Maha Awas Abhiyan Grameen’ in Pune, Satara, Sangli and Kolhapur districts of the Pune division. Rao was talking.
Pune Zilla Parishad President Nirmala Pansare, Chief Executive Officer Ayush Prasad, Satara Zilla Parishad President Uday Kabule, Chief Executive Officer Vinay Gowda, Sangli ZP. President Prajakta Kore, Kolhapur Zilla Parishad President Rahul Patil, Group Development Officer of the award-winning talukas, Chairman, Project Director as well as Sarpanch, Gramsevak were present.
Mr Rao further said, Pune division is the most advanced division. The wheel of development in the department stopped and the man here felt uneasy, missed. The work culture of the Pune division is different. People’s representatives and local administrative officials work together here. The Pune division had to face the worst of the corona outbreak. Looking at the situation in the state of Kerala, we can see the onset of the third wave. Concerns are being raised about how to handle the situation if a third wave strikes. All the systems are ready accordingly.
By participating in this scheme, the Divisional Commissioner Shri. Saurabh Rao congratulated all the award-winning Zilla Parishads, Talukas and Gram Panchayats.
Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Kolhapur, Pune and Satara were selected for the first, second and third prizes respectively. Bavda (Kolhapur), Patan (Satara) and Radhanagari (Kolhapur) talukas were selected as the best talukas. The name of Patan taluka in Satara district was given to the Gram Panchayat first, Takve Bu in Maval taluka of Pune district. The Gram Panchayat came second and the Bhud Gram Panchayat in Khanapur taluka of Sangli district came third.
Under the state-sponsored housing scheme, Pune, Satara and Sangli districts got first, second and third prizes respectively. Kagal (Kolhapur), Khed (Pune) and Patan (Satara) talukas, while Ambawade gram panchayat in Bhor taluka of Pune district, Washere gram panchayat in Khed district and Kondhwal gram panchayat in Ambegaon taluka got first, second and third prizes respectively.
Bhor (Pune), Patan (Satara) and Shirur (Pune) talukas got the first, second and third prizes respectively for the best performance in the availability of government land and sand.
At this time, the Divisional Commissioner Shri. At the hands of Sourav Rao, all the awardees were given insignia, testimonials and roses. Deputy Commissioner Seema Jagtap gave the introductory speech and thanked the participants.
