Developed a website to apply for sanugrah assistance to the next of kin of a person who died of Covid-19.

Mumbai: Rs. 50,000 / – for providing sanugrah assistance to Hon. Supreme Court As per the directions given on 04.10.2021, theCovid-19-Pixabay-Image Department of Revenue and Forest (Disaster Management, Relief and Rehabilitation) has issued the Government Resolution on 26th November.

In line with this ruling, the government has developed an online web portal, through which close relatives of persons who have died of Covid-19 disease can submit an online application with minimum documents to get sanugrah assistance. For this, the applicant will need to log in to mahacovid19relief.in. There is also a link to https://epassmsdma.mahait.org/login.htm.

The applicant can log in to get help using his / her own mobile number based on his / her Aadhaar number, details of the deceased such as death certificate and hospital details (optional). The Central Government will approve the application of the relatives of persons whose deaths have been reported due to Covid-19 without requesting any other documents. In other cases, if there is a medical certificate showing the cause of death of Covid-19, such cases will also be approved without the need for other documents. If the applicant does not have a medical certificate showing the cause of death, then the applicant will have to provide proof of death due to COVID-19 along with the application.

If a case is rejected, the applicant will be given government decision no. Public Health Department, Judicial-2021 / Pr.No.488 / Arogya-05, dated 13th October 2021 has the power to appeal the grievance redressal constituted for redressal of grievances at the district level / municipal level and this committee has the power to hear such cases and give a final decision. The District Disaster Management Authority will have the final say in approving the application.

All approved applications for sanugrah assistance will be made public on the web portal for 7 days, giving the deceased a chance to appeal to the rightful heirs for assistance. According to the application finally approved by the District Disaster Management Authority, the amount of sanugrah assistance will be credited to the applicant’s Aadhaar attached bank account.
