District Planning Committee Meeting: Approval of draft plan of a total 793 crores 86 lakhs.
Pune: In the meeting of the District Planning Committee held at Vidhan Bhavan under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister and District Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar, Rs. 619.10 crores under General District Annual Plan 2022-23 for Pune district, Rs. A total of 793 crores 86 lakh rupees was approved.
54.18 crores for agriculture and allied services under the general scheme, 80 crores for rural development, 33.06 crores for irrigation and flood control, 51.19 crores for energy development, 1.17 crores for industry and mining, 113 crores for transport, 16.28 crore for general financial services. An outlay of Rs. 210.56 crore for social services, Rs. 28.69 crore for general services and Rs. 30.95 crore for innovative schemes has been proposed.
Under the Scheduled Castes Scheme, an outlay of Rs 4 crore 40 lakh has been proposed for agriculture and allied services, Rs 7 crore for energy development, Rs 34 lakh for industry and mining, Rs 30 crore for transport, Rs 83 crore 31 lakh for social services and Rs 3 crore 86 lakh for innovative schemes.
6 crore 27 lakhs for agriculture and allied services under tribal sub-plan, 4 crores 85 lakhs for rural development, 3 crores 40 lakhs for irrigation and flood control, 2 crores 96 lakhs for energy development, 3 lakhs for industry and mining, 6 crore 42 lakhs for transport, 20 social services. 75 crore and an outlay of Rs. 1 crore 15 lakh has been proposed for the innovative scheme.
286 crore 8 lakh (41.16 per cent) has been spent under General Plan, 25 crores 89 lakh (20.08 per cent) under Scheduled Caste Scheme and 6 crores 93 lakh (15.61 per cent) have been spent under Tribal Sub Plan. It is planned to spend 100% of the funds by the end of March, informed District Collector, Dr Deshmukh.
The meeting approved the proposed works for 9 talukas of the district underhill development program.
Accelerate the work of Jaljivan Mission – Ajit Pawar
Deputy Chief Minister Pawar was instructed to expedite the survey of aquatic life works in the district. Under the tourism development, efforts are being made at the state level for the development of Ashtavinayak tourism and it is expected that work will be done to facilitate and attract tourists, said Mr Pawar. He directed to take action against unauthorized constructions on nallas in urban areas and increase funds for Panand Road.
Home Minister Valse Patil suggested that the expenditure should be reviewed at the district collector level as per the provisions sanctioned under the tribal sub-plan and good works should be planned from this fund. He said that while reviewing the development works in the tribal areas, the people’s representatives in those areas should also be informed.
Dr Gorhe said that as per the instructions of the state government, 1% of the funds should be spent on sustainable development. Necessary planning should be done for that.
Discussions were held on various issues such as provision for bee keeping units in tribal areas, improvement of urban Dalit settlements, funding for construction of Sakav in hilly areas, survey of Ujani backwater area, road works under ‘Hybrid Annuity.
