Gulabrao Patil, Minister for Water Supply and Sanitation, directed that the water supply scheme and domestic plumbing should be completed within the time limit under Jaljivan Mission. The implementation of the Jaljivan Mission in the state was reviewed in a meeting held at the Ministry under the chairmanship of Mr. Patil.
Under Jaljivan Mission, corrective reconnection works should be completed by the end of March 2022 and implementation of new schemes by 31st December 2021. Minister Patil also directed that all the Chief Engineers should hold regular meetings of both Zilla Parishad and Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran.
Review of progress of domestic tap connection under Jaljivan Mission, schemes on Jaljivan Mission progress, stalled schemes of Zilla Parishad and Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran, plans of more than 10 years duration, plans of 5 to 10 years duration, the progress of schemes of less than 3 years period, review of corrective reconnection works under Jaljivan Mission. Member Secretary of Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran Kishore Raje Nimbalkar, Mission Director of Jaljivan Mission Rishikesh Yashod, Joint Secretary of Water Supply Department Praveen Puri, all Chief Engineers working under Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran in the state, Superintendent of Engineers and other officials of the Ministry of Water Supply were present.
