At present, the health department and the chief minister have no plans to increase the restrictions and we are keeping an eye on the whole situation. Where is the number growing? There is a special focus on why it is growing. Taking into account the experience of the first and second waves, the next decision will be taken on the advice of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, said Health Minister Tope. In the case of Nagpur, the Chief Minister will make a decision based on the figures and the situation there, he added.

Restrictions will be imposed when 700 metric tons of oxygen is used

Health Minister Mr Tope said that in the case of oxygen, last time our capacity was up to 1300 MT, now it has increased from 1400 to 1500 MT. 450 oxygen plants are being set up, out of which 250 plants have been set up, the rest will be operational soon. Increasing the oxygen storage capacity is increasing the number of Dura cylinders so that we can have up to 1900 to 2000 metric tons of oxygen available. The central government has given a very large figure while predicting the third wave. Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that the Chief Minister has approved the notification issued by the Health Department to impose restrictions on the use of oxygen above 700 metric tonnes per day.

70% of the total patients in the 5 districts

In Kerala, the number of patients has increased after the Onam festival, more than 31,000 patients have been added in a single day. Today, only 4 to 5 districts in the state have 70% of the total number of patients, including Ahmednagar, Ratnagiri, Satara, Mumbai, Pune districts, so discipline must be followed, third wave can be prevented only if the rules have to be followed. Rajesh Tope has clarified.

More than 12 lakh vaccinations in a day

We have proved our mettle by vaccinating over 12 lakhs in a day. If the vaccine is still available, 12 to 14 lakhs can be vaccinated daily. This will provide security to the citizens and alternatively reduce the burning of the third wave. The health minister has also appealed for compliance with the notifications issued by the health department if the third wave is to be stopped by mass vaccination.

While wishing good luck for the upcoming Ganeshotsav, it is necessary to follow the government’s Covid Prevention Rules. The Central Government has made Kerala and Maharashtra aware of the need to avoid crowds, so Health Minister Rajesh Tope has finally appealed to the mandals here, Ganesh devotees to observe the festival in a disciplined manner following the Covid rules.
