The Government of Maharashtra has decided to cancel the Class XII examination of the State Board. A ruling in this regard has been issued today.
The policy of revised assessment and the date of the result will be announced by the board soon, informed the Minister of School Education Prof. Varsha Gaikwad. The role of the state government is to give priority to the health and mental health of the students during the global epidemic. Considering the importance of the Class XII (HSC) examination, a demand was made to the Central Government to fix a uniform formula for assessment. State board exams have also been cancelled in the wake of the cancellation of the CBSE and ICSE exams.
After discussions with all the concerned parties, the present environment is not conducive for the examination, so the examination should be cancelled and the results should be declared on the basis of alternative assessment, said Prof. Gaikwad.

बारावी परीक्षेच्या मूल्यमापनाचे धोरण लवकरच जाहीर होणार .
महाराष्ट्र शासनाने राज्य मंडळाच्या इयत्ता 12 वीच्या परीक्षा रद्द करण्याचा निर्णय घेतला आहे. यासंबधीचा शासन निर्णय आज जारी करण्यात आला आहे.सुधारित मूल्यमापनाचे धोरण व निकालाची तारीख मंडळामार्फत लवकरच जाहीर करण्यात येईल, अशी माहिती शालेय शिक्षण मंत्री प्रा.वर्षा गायकवाड यांनी दिली आहे.
जागतिक महामारीच्या काळात विद्यार्थ्यांची आरोग्य सुरक्षितता आणि मानसिक स्वास्थ्य यांनाच प्राधान्य देण्याची राज्य शासनाची भूमिका आहे. इयत्ता 12 वीच्या(HSC ) परीक्षेचे महत्त्व लक्षात घेता मूल्यमापनाचे एकसमान सूत्र निश्चित करावे, अशी मागणी केंद्र शासनाकडे करण्यात आली होती. सीबीएसई आणि आयसीएसईच्या परीक्षा रद्द केल्याच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर राज्य मंडळाच्या परीक्षाही रद्द करण्यात आल्या आहेत.
सर्व संबंधित घटकांशी केलेल्या चर्चेअंती सध्याचे वातावरण परीक्षेसाठी पोषक नसल्याने परीक्षा रद्द करून पर्यायी मूल्यमापनाच्या आधारे निकाल घोषित करावा, असे महाराष्ट्र शासनाने केंद्राला यापूर्वीच सुचवले होते, असेही प्रा.गायकवाड यांनी सांगितले आहे.
