Governor Koshyari presents Digital Smart Sticks Visually Impaired children.
Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari presented Digital Smart White Sticks to a group of 15 visually impaired children at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Saturday (3 July). The Smart Sticks were presented to the visually impaired children in presence of Vaishnava Acharya Goswami Vrajrakumar Maharaj.
Everyone in the community has a tendency to help people in need. However, Governor Shri Koshyari said that the young saint Vrajraj Kumarji Maharaj, who gave up his resolve to give smart sticks to the blind people of the country, is doing a great job, saying that society needs sadhus to awaken this tendency.
There are 30 lakh blind people in the country and 1.5 lakh blind people in Mumbai alone. Vrajraj Kumarji Maharaj said that Vallabh Youth Organization is trying to uplift the living standards of 1 lakh blind people in the country and 10,000 people in Mumbai by giving them digital smart sticks.
Dr Raju Manwani of World Sindhi Seva Sangham, Paresh Sanghvi, Gopaldas, District Governors of Lions Club and Naina Kuttappan, Founder of Nayan Foundation were present on this occasion.
The event was organized by Vallabh Youth Organization, Vishwa Sindhi Seva Sangham, Lions Club International and Nayan Foundation for Performing Arts.
राज्यपालांच्या हस्ते दृष्टिहीन मुलांना ‘डिजिटल स्मार्ट स्टीक्स’ प्रदान.
राज्यपाल भगत सिंह कोश्यारी यांच्या हस्ते १५ दृष्टिहीन मुलांना विनाअडथळा चालण्यासाठी डिजिटल स्मार्ट स्टिक्स (डिजिटल सफेद काठी) प्रदान करण्यात आल्या. राजभवन येथे शनिवारी (दि. ३) झालेल्या एका कार्यक्रमात वैष्णव संप्रदायाचे आचार्य गोस्वामी व्रज्रकुमारजी महाराज यांच्या उपस्थितीत मुलांना सेन्सर असलेल्या स्मार्ट स्टीक्स देण्यात आल्या. वल्लभ युथ ऑर्गनायझेशन, विश्व सिंधी सेवा संघम, लायन्स क्लब इंटरनॅशनल व नयन फाउंडेशन फॉर पर्फोर्मिंग आर्टस् यांच्यातर्फे कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले होते.
गरजू व्यक्तींना मदत करण्याची प्रवृत्ती समाजात सर्वांमध्ये असते. मात्र ही प्रवृत्ती जागविण्यासाठी समाजाला साधू संतांची गरज असते असे सांगून देशातील दृष्टिहीन लोकांना स्मार्ट स्टिक देण्याचा संकल्प सोडणारे युवा संत व्रज्रकुमार महाराज हे महान कार्य करीत असल्याचे राज्यपाल श्री. कोश्यारी यांनी सांगितले.
देशात ३० लाख तर एकट्या मुंबईत दीड लाख दृष्टिहीन प्रज्ञाचक्षु लोक आहेत. यापैकी देशातील १ लाख दृष्टिहीन व्यक्तींना व मुंबईतील दहा हजार लोकांना डिजिटल स्मार्ट स्टीक्स देऊन त्यांचे जीवनमान उंचावण्याचा वल्लभ युथ ऑर्गनायझेशनचा प्रयत्न असल्याचे व्रज्रकुमार महाराज यांनी सांगितले.
यावेळी वर्ल्ड सिंधी सेवा संघमचे डॉ.राजू मनवाणी, परेश संघवी, गोपालदास, लायन्स क्लबचे डीस्ट्रीक्ट गव्हर्नर्स तसेच नयन फाउंडेशनच्या संस्थापिका नैना कुत्तप्पन उपस्थित होते.
