For the third day in a row in the city, more corona-free than affected.

A ray of hope for the people of Pune

It is heartening to note that the city has been experiencing more corona-free rates than the increase in corona infections for the third day in a row since Sunday. On Wednesday, 5529 were found infected. 6530 people have been released from Corona. A total of 24,490 people underwent corona examination during the day on Wednesday, compared to 22.5% of corona patients. Meanwhile, 78  died during the day, out of which 22 were from outside Pune.  As the second wave of Corona strikes, there is a glimmer of hope for Pune. Now that the lockdown in the city is even tougher, the health department has said the figure is likely to drop further over the next week. Over the past few days, the number of new victims of Corona has been around five and a half thousand. At the same time, the number of tests is 24 to 25 thousand per day, but the number of patients per day is stable. According to the health department, about 27,694 people were found infected in the city during the six-day period from April 16 to 21, during which 35,175 people were cured.  

Matoshri Covid Care Center with Oxygen Bed and Isolation  Facility at the service of the public.

Former Sarpanch Ulhas Shewale’s initiative has made it difficult for the general public to get oxygen beds easily considering the current situation. Shiv Sena’s deputy city chief and former Sarpanch of Uruli Devachi village Ulhas Shewale have taken the initiative for the general public. He has started Matoshri Comedy Care Center in his five-story building with an oxygen bed and isolation facility. The center has been in the public service since Thursday. Without considering any monetary benefits Shewale has converted his five-story building on the Mantarwadi-Kondhwa bypass road into a Covid Care Center. In just seven days, he has erected twenty-five oxygen beds and 25 regular beds in the building at his own expense. Under the guidance of Dr. Anupam Jaiswal of Nixi Hospital, his team and the team formed by Shewale will be working here. Shewale also said that 25 more beds will be started here in the next few days. This Covid Center is going to be a great relief for the common man. At this time, Ulhas Shewale said that Covid Care Center and Isolation  Room have been started with the feeling that we owe something to society. At present, patients are losing their lives due to a lack of beds in the city and suburbs. The poor are suffering due to the non-availability of medical treatment in time. Many citizens are asking for beds in hospitals every day and the hospital was not getting beds despite repeated requests to them. 

 

Proposal to start 238 vaccination centers in Pune.

Private hospitals and corporators demanded new vaccination centers.   

The number of corona patients is increasing rapidly in Pune every day. It is important to protect the citizens by vaccinating them as much as possible as there is a shortage of beds in hospitals as well as a shortage of oxygen beds. There are currently 171 vaccination centers in operation in the city, while seven lakh seven thousand people have been vaccinated during the four-month period from January 16 to April 23. Currently, there is a shortage of vaccines and the number of vaccinations has decreased. Since all citizens above Eighteen years of age are being vaccinated from 1st May, the question is whether there will be enough vaccines available. Among the proposed centers, it is proposed to start vaccination in ten government 228 private centers. Speaking on the occasion, Additional Commissioner Rubel Agarwal said, The capacity of the existing center will be increased as volunteers will be available from Niramay Sanstha and from other Santha and Sanghatna. 

Corona sufferers should receive timely treatment

Madhya Haveli BJP has demanded the district collector to provide timely and necessary treatment to the Corona victims. Currently, corona tests are declining and reports are not received on time. There is a huge shortage of beds, oxygen, ventilators, and remdesivir. As a result, many patients are suffering, but the hospital administration is asking the relatives of the patients to bring the injections. At least 25 relatives go out to provide medical facilities for a patient who does not get injections in the market, the statement said. Resident Deputy Collector Jayashree Katariya has been asked to provide oxygen remdesivir injection to many small and big hospitals in Pune city and district. BJP West Maharashtra President Jalindar Kamthe, Corporator Maruti Tupe, Central Haveli Taluka President Dhananjay Kamthe, Sachin Hande, Abhijeet Kharade, Mahesh Bhadle, Suraj Bire, Varsha Madekar, etc. were present on this occasion.

Inconvenience to Corona patients at  Manjri Budruk.

Allow to start Covid Care Center, Gram Panchayat demands to Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar. 

In the  Manjri Budruk is currently growing a large number of covid patients. Therefore, it is very difficult for the patients to obtain beds.  The Gram Panchayat has asked the Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar, District Collector, Zilla Parishad, and Health Department for permission to start Kovid Care Center in the village for immediate treatment of these patients. The engineering college building of the Pune District Education Board should be acquired and the Gram Panchayat should be allowed to spend Rs.1crore from the Gram Nidhi for Covid Care Center. The Gram Panchayat has also demanded in a letter that the Collectorate and Zilla Parishad level should provide help for Covid Care Center. Meanwhile, despite the large population, it has not yet provided adequate services during the Corona period. Citizens are expressing that Covid Care Center is needed here considering the condition of the private hospital. As of April 20, there are 124 patients in the Maanjari with a population of over one lakh, and more than 20 are coming positive every day. Shivraj Ghule Sarpanch Maanjari Budruk said in a letter that the relatives of the patients have to struggle as there are no beds left in the private hospital.
