Health Minister appeals to Sarpanchs, to cooperate in Covid vaccination campaign.
Jalana: Maharashtra’s Health Minister Rajesh Tope has appealed to the Sarpanchs to cooperate in the Covid vaccination campaign. While speaking in Jalna, he said that the sarpanch are people’s representatives at the village level and vaccination cannot be accelerated without their cooperation.
The health minister reiterated that no new restrictions would be imposed in the state at present.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has warned that some tough decisions will have to be taken if cooperation is not received from citizens in taking the second dose of corona preventive vaccine.
Although there has been a good response to vaccination from citizens, about 38 to 40 per cent of people have not taken their second dose of the vaccine.
Efforts are being made by the administration for vaccination but if it does not get a proper response from the citizens, the government will have to make some tough decisions.
