Homes for 5 thousand 183 families through MHADA.
Pune: The Pune Housing and Regional Development Board (MHADA) has completed the construction of flats under various income groups and 5 thousand 183 eligible families from very low, low, middle and high-income groups in the district are being provided with their rightful homes. The state government is making efforts to provide ‘Right to Home for All’ by 2022 and it is a promising step towards the same goal.
Through the state government, work is underway to provide quality and affordable housing to the common man. The process of providing houses is computerized and transparent. Even during the Covid period, the people have shown their faith in ‘MHADA’ by giving a large response for MHADA’s house.
In Khed taluka under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana at Mahalunge (Ingle) 648 from a low-income group and 620 from low-income group a total of 1 thousand 268 and in Pimpri-Chinchwad area survey number-309 from Pimpri-Waghire 308 from low-income group, 595 from the middle-income group and high-income group. A housing scheme of flats was implemented to provide the right houses to a total of 1 thousand 243 families. The process of allotment of flats to eligible beneficiaries is underway.
As per the policy of the government, 1,080 very low and low-income group flats have been provided under 15 per cent integrated housing scheme and approximately 1,592 low and low-income group flats have been made available under 20 per cent comprehensive housing scheme. The flats are being allotted to the beneficiaries of the low-income groups.
Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, a housing scheme of 762 flats for low-income groups is being implemented at Talegaon Dabhade. Also, commercial and various housing schemes such as 35 shops and 31 offices are being implemented and construction of the scheme is in progress, said Nitin Mane, Chief Officer, Pune Housing and Regional Development Board
