While the Corona crisis has created unemployment, 17,372 unemployed candidates have been employed in various companies, corporates and industries in the state through various initiatives being implemented by the Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department in August 2021, said Nawab Malik. Through various initiatives like Mahaswayam Web Portal, Online Employment Fair etc., employment is provided in the state by linking job seekers and various companies, corporate organizations, industries.

The launch took place during a virtual event, which saw Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, Dr Krishnaswamy VijayRaghavan as the chief guest.
‘Project Udaan,’ a donation-based project, is an end-to-end ecosystem, which translates scientific and technical content from English to Hindi and all other Indian languages. Prof. Ganesh and his team have built an AI (Artificial Intelligence)-based translation ecosystem, which can help translate engineering textbooks and learning materials in one-sixth the time it would take for a team consisting of the domain and linguistic experts working manually. In due course, textbooks in all domains can be taken up.

He adds that these symptoms may occur as late as 4 to 5 weeks after the COVID infection.

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari has emphasized the importance of the network of modern and high-quality roads for economic development and creating employment opportunities. Interacting with media at the Bharuch section in Gujarat on the second day of the two-day review of the progress of work on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway he said the Expressway will reduce travelling time not only between Delhi and Mumbai but also between other major cities. Shri Gadkari said in Gujarat, 423 km of road is being constructed at a cost of Rs 35,100 crore. He said under this expressway, 60 major bridges, 17 interchanges, 17 flyovers and 8 ROBs will be built in the state.
The Minister said 33 wayside amenities are also proposed to be built on this expressway to provide world-class transport facilities as well as generate employment opportunities in the state.

- Extension of existing concessional GST rates on certain COVID-19 treatment drugs up to 31st December 2021
- GST rates on 7 other medicines recommended by the Department of Pharmaceuticals reduced from 12% to 5% till 31st December 2021
- GST rate on Keytruda medicine for the treatment of cancer reduced from 12% to 5%
- GST rates on Retro fitment kits for vehicles used by persons with special abilities reduced to 5%
- GST rates on Fortified Rice kernels for schemes like ICDS reduced from 18% to 5%
