Improvements in the definition of “complete vaccination”.
Mumbai: The definition of “fully vaccinated” has been revised by the state government to include persons below 18 years of age as well as those who cannot be vaccinated due to medical reasons.
The order issued by the state government said that after the lockdown, work has been allowed for various service providers as well as service recipients in phases and it is mandatory for them to be fully vaccinated. The definition of a person who is currently fully vaccinated includes those who have received both the vaccines prescribed by the Government of India at regular intervals and have been vaccinated for fourteen days.
However, it has been observed that many providers and service recipients cannot get the vaccine even if they want to due to medical reasons or because they are under 18 years of age. Such citizens need to be allowed to provide or receive this service. Accordingly, the definition of vaccinated people has been improved. Accordingly, the following three categories of persons will be considered as “fully vaccinated”: –
1- A person who has taken both doses of vaccine and 14 days after taking the second dose.
2- Any person who cannot get vaccinated due to medical reasons and has obtained such a certificate from an accredited doctor.
3- If a person is less than 18 years of age.
If a vaccine is made available for this age group in the future, the correction will remain in effect for 60 days after the vaccine becomes available, the order said.
