Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said that educational institutes should take initiative to impart skills development training to the students along with inculcating scientific attitude in them.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Pawar inaugurated DYPatil Gyan Shanti School at Akurdi. Minister of State for Home Affairs and Vice President of DYPatil Educational Complex Satej Patil, President Sanjay Patil, MLA Rituraj Patil, Vice-Chancellor of DYPatil International University Dr Prabhat Ranjan, Trustee of DYPatil Patil Educational Complex Tejas Patil, Director of the Complex Dr Neeraj Vyavahare, Gyanshanti school headmistress Geeta Pillay etc. were present.
Mr Pawar said that in order to provide education to all sections of society, Dr D. Y. Patil set up educational institutions. Both his successors have been able to carry on this legacy. He expressed confidence that the newly started school in the name of Dr DY Patil in Pune, the cultural and educational capital of the state, would become a school of rites.
Mr Pawar also mentioned that almost one lakh students are getting education through DYPatil Educational Institution, and it is a matter of pride for over three lakh students to come out with education.
Stating that the newly constructed building in the Nigdi area has added to the splendour, Deputy Chief Minister Mr Pawar said that school children should pursue hobbies along with education. Try to learn new things to grow in life. School children should have a scientific outlook. They should be trained in skill development. He also expressed the belief that the role of educational institutions would be important in this. He suggested that the poor budding students of the society should be given admission in the institute to avail the best facilities of Dr DY Patil Educational Complex.
Minister of State Satej Patil said, one lakh students are studying in Dr DY Patil Educational Institution. Many students are working globally in various fields. The contribution of teachers and staff of the educational institution is important in this. He also said that the institute is constantly striving to raise the standard of education.
The Oxygen Plant was also inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Shri Pawar. Mr Pawar also inspected the educational complex. Students, teachers, citizens were present at this time.
