Industry Minister Subhash Desai inspected the full-sized statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on a horse ride.
A full-sized statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on a horse ride to be erected at Kranti Chowk in Aurangabad; Minister for Industry, Mining and Marathi Language and Guardian Minister of Aurangabad Subhash Desai visited Chitrakalpak Art Studio, Narhe-Dhayari Pune today.
MLA Ambadas Danve, MLA Sanjay Kshirsath, former Mayor Nandkumar Ghodele, Aurangabad Municipal Corporation Administrator Astik Kumar Pandey, City Engineer Shri. Panjde, Deepak Thopte of Chitrakalapak Art Studio etc. were present.
At this time, Mr Desai said, the equestrian full-sized statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj made by Mr Deepak Thopte and his colleagues of Chitrakalpak Art Studio is twenty-one feet high and twenty-two feet long and weighs six tons. It will be the tallest statue not only in the state but also in the country. This statue is very linear and beautiful. Work on the statue will be completed soon. Mr Desai also expressed the feeling that the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to be erected at Kranti Chowk, Aurangabad would be an ideal Shiva statue.
Local Shivpremi citizens and office bearers were present on this occasion.
