Barti’s grand training centre to be set up on 60 acres
Pune 29: Social Justice Minister Dhananjay Munde has directed that both the process of verification of caste certificate and validity of caste certificate should be integrated and this process should be modernized like the passport distribution system.
Mr Munde reviewed the functioning of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute (BARTI) in a meeting held at BARTI Hall. Social Justice Commissioner Dr Prashant Naranware, Divyang Commissioner Omprakash Deshmukh, Barti’s Director-General Dhammajyoti Gajbhiye were present on this occasion.
Minister Munde said that there should be no complaints of delay in issuing caste validity certificates. If there is a caste certificate in the blood relation of the person proposing verification, they should be given an immediate certificate without looking at other documents as per the provisions of the rules. Mr Munde was also directed to create an integrated system like a computerized system in the passport office for a speedy and transparent process of caste certificate and caste verification.
Mr Munde further said that Barty wants to set up a world-class grand five-star training centre on 60 acres of land in Hadapsar. The plan of 30 acres of land should be prepared and submitted immediately. A magnificent library should stand here. The training centre should be designed to provide students with the skills that are in demand in the world. Proposals should be made expeditiously in the coming winter session so that provision can be made for this by requesting a supplement. Barty should change overtime now. Research should be done here as a matter of priority. Also, Barty needs to expand across the state.
A grand building of the Department of Social Justice is erected at Latur and all preparations should be completed for the commencement of the training centre there on 6th December. The proposal to set up a training centre at Parli should be given immediate impetus. It should be proposed to redevelop the school where Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar studied and develop the library. Prabodhankar Thackeray’s literature is to be republished. He also suggested that Barty’s plans be changed over time. Mr Munde was also directed to develop a databank to provide permanent information to the beneficiaries of Scheduled Castes and Neo-Buddhist communities for future schemes.
