Publication of the Marathi translation of the seventh Agamgranth ‘Uvasagadasao’ by the Governor.

Jainism is a system of conduct and teaches citizens to behave in an ideal way of life, said Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. He was speaking on the occasion of the publication of the Marathi translation of the seventh Agamgranth ‘Uvasagadasao’ written by Prof. Dr Vimal Bafna, Head of Seth Hirachand Nemchand Jain Studies of Savitribai Phule Pune University.

Vice-Chancellor of the University Dr Nitin Karmalkar, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr N. S. Umrani, Registrar Praful Pawar, President of Jain Studies Dr Shailesh Gujar, Senior Journalist Dr Uday Nirgudkar, President of All India Jain Association Shantilal Mutha was present on the occasion.

Governor Shri. Koshyari said the author has tried to bring the principles of Jainism to the society in the Marathi language through this book. Writing literature in ancient languages ​​in a way that the general public can understand will help the citizens to understand the ancient history and culture of the country.                                                                                                                                                                                                          Lord Mahavira stated the principles of Ahimsa, Satya, Asteya, Swadarsantosh, Ichchapariman. In today’s world, it takes time to imitate him. Following these principles, Jainism always stands firmly behind the society in times of crisis, he added.

Dr Karmalkar, Vice-Chancellor of the University, said that there are a total of 17 studies in the University. Research work is being done in a very formulaic manner on behalf of the study.
