Mumbai: We will continue education with the determination not to close schools that started from today, said Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. Chief Minister Shri. Will communicate emotionally with children – Prof. Varsha Gaikwad

Even though the school starts from today, some days the children will be interacting on an emotional level. To compensate for the educational losses incurred by the students due to the closure of schools for a long period, a concerted effort will be made to enhance the quality of education according to the educational needs of each student and the educational tools available to him, said Prof. Varsha Gaikwad.

School Education Minister Prof. Gaikwad said that classes V to XII are being started in rural areas and classes VIII to XII in urban areas. In the last few months, we have tried many times to start school, but considering the severity of Kovid-19, we have not been able to start school directly considering the health of students and teachers.

Launch of a sustainable study plan

Today, even though we are starting some schools in rural and urban areas, we are launching a sustainable study plan through the ‘My Students, My Responsibility campaign to continue their education online and offline so that students do not suffer academic losses in case of any challenging situation. Student wise educational needs, available facilities, basic skills of students and study outcomes will be surveyed and a definite and consistent plan will be prepared and implemented at the school level. This will include teaching planning, schedule, attendance, literature, parent participation, assessment, extracurricular planning, bringing out-of-school students into the stream of education, educational facilities, special arrangements for physical health and mental health.

Since March 2020, Kovid-19 infection has been detected and schools have been shut down due to lockdown. But our education department is constantly working to reach out to the students.
