By defeating Corona you want to be Corona free. We will all overcome this crisis together. Let us all decide together that we will liberate my country and state from corona and celebrate the next Independence Day in a corona free environment, for we should observe restraint and discipline, appealed Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray here today. He was speaking at the flag hoisting ceremony held at the Ministry premises on the occasion of the 74th anniversary of Independence. On the occasion of Indian Independence Day and the nectar anniversary of independence, the Chief Minister wished all the best. He paid homage to all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for freedom.
Chief Minister Shri. The flag was hoisted by Thackeray. The event was celebrated in limited attendance following the coronary rules. Mumbai High Court Chief Justice Dipankar Datta, Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar, Chief Minister’s wife Rashmi Thackeray, Chief Secretary Sitaram Kunte, Principal Secretary to the Chief of Staff Manisha Mhaiskar, Director General of Police Sanjay Pandey, Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagarale was present on the occasion.
After the flag hoisting, the Chief Minister met the Corona Warriors who were present at the event, inquired about them enthusiastically and learned about the work they were doing. After this, the dignitaries present along with the Chief Minister greeted the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar and Rajmata Jijau by offering flowers.
We have been experiencing a new dependency for the last one and a half years due to Corona. Now we are relaxing a lot of restrictions. The Corona crisis is still not over. In some places abroad, it has resurfaced. We all need to be careful not to let this crisis arise again. Last year and this year in the second wave we experienced the devastation of the corona, now that the accompaniment is under control we still have to take full precautions. Considering the amount of oxygen, we are relaxing the restrictions. But you still have to be careful. If the oxygen capacity is taken into account and the number of patients starts increasing, Nilaja will have to resort to lockdown once again. Therefore, Corona Prevention Rules should be strictly followed, appealed Chief Minister Shri. Thackeray.
The CM said many Corona warriors struggled day and night to cope with the Corona crisis. Many were affected by the corona. While many were healed, some, unfortunately, lost their lives. The Chief Minister paid homage to them. Vaccination in the state has now gained momentum. “We have reached a new height in the country by vaccinating nine and a half lakh people yesterday,” he said.
We have not got freedom like that, we have got this freedom through the struggle and determination of many people. On this occasion, the Chief Minister appealed to me to resolve to liberate my country, the state from Corona and to celebrate the next Independence Day freely.

On the occasion of Independence Day, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray hoisted the flag at Varsha’s residence today. Mrs Rashmi Thackeray also paid homage to the National Flag. On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr Thackeray wished Independence Day to the police team as well as senior officers and employees.
