Maharashtra Public Service Commission starts the process for A and B class posts – Information of Medical Education Minister Amit Deshmukh.
Recruitment of 1 thousand 584 posts through the medical education department.
Mumbai: 1 thousand 584 posts will be recruited through the Department of Medical Education and Drugs. Medical Education Minister Amit Deshmukh today informed that the process for Class A and B posts has been started by Maharashtra Public Service Commission.
The recruitment process for the vacant posts from Class 1 to Class 4 under the Department of Medical Education and Drugs will be implemented and a review meeting was held today.
Mr Deshmukh said that the threat of Kovid has not yet been averted in the state and there is a constant need for medical officers and staff in government medical hospitals and colleges. This is the largest recruitment through the state’s medical education department. So far a total of 1 thousand 584 applications for Class A and B posts have been sent to Maharashtra Public Service Commission through this department. Of these, 1 thousand 269 posts are in the medical education department. The Commission has published advertisements for most of these posts and the recruitment process is underway.
Vacancies in Class 3 and Class 4 have been cleared up to 50 per cent at present. The posts in class 4 are allowed to be filled on a contract basis by the superintendents of government medical colleges coming under the jurisdiction of the medical education department. The concerned medical college superintendents should take action in this regard and fill up these posts immediately. Also, as the state government has permission to fill 50 per cent of the sanctioned posts in class-3, the recruitment process should be expedited by publishing the advertisement in time. If the recruitment of class 1 to class 4 is done on time, there will be no work stress on the officers and employees. Apart from this, the issues required for ad hoc promotions and promotion of lower-paid posts should be brought before the Divisional Selection Committee and the speedy decision should be taken in time. Deshmukh said this at the time.
