Maharashtra’s record performance in corona vaccination on the eve of Independence Day; Vaccination of more than 9 lakh 36 thousand citizens in a day.
Maharashtra today set another record on the eve of Independence Day in the corona vaccination campaign. During the day, 9 lakh 36 thousand citizens were vaccinated till 7 pm. This is the highest number of vaccinations ever received in a single day. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Health Minister Rajesh Tope have congratulated the health system for this achievement.
Vaccination is an important weapon to prevent corona and if the supply of vaccines is maintained, a similar number of citizens can be vaccinated in the state. The state has a capacity of at least 10 lakh vaccinations per day and this has been proved by the record number of vaccinations given today. The health system will continue to strive for a similar record number of vaccinations, said Health Minister Shri. Tope said.
9 lakh 36 thousand people have been vaccinated till 7 pm today and it may increase, said Additional Chief Secretary of the Health Department Dr Pradip Vyas said. Earlier on July 3, the state had set a record by vaccinating 8 lakh, 11 thousand citizens. Vyas said.
