Despite the relaxation of restrictions, the responsibility has increased – Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
Masks, safe distance, hand washing are the three principles that must be followed; Oxygen criteria will no longer be followed for restriction.
Although the number of covid patients has decreased, we all want to be very careful considering our past experience. We want to see that we do not pose a threat to the health of others by following our own health rules, appealed Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
Chief Minister Thackeray said, “Even if we relax the restrictions and predict whether the third wave will come or not, we must be wary of the changing incarnation of this virus.” How the shortage of oxygen during the second wave has posed a challenge not only to us but also to the country is still fresh. And that’s why the requirement for oxygen at the time of state restrictions or lockdowns is the criterion.
From now on, if 700 metric tons of oxygen is applied daily for Kovid patients in the state, lockdown will be imposed in the state. As you know, the state’s oxygen production capacity is limited and only 1300 metric tons of oxygen is produced daily. In the second wave, the number of patients increased and the need for oxygen increased so much that about 500 metric tons of oxygen had to be imported from other states. If there is a need for 700 metric tons of oxygen per day for Kovid patients (for about 30,000 patients), a decision will be taken to impose restrictions in the state.
Kovid has taught a lot in the last two years. We are fighting this battle together, and I am sure that the instructions given by the government are for the benefit of all, and we will co-operate, “Thackeray said.
Chief Minister Mr. Thackeray said, I repeat, we are not happy with the restrictions. The Delta incarnation of Kovid is spreading widely in the surrounding countries, including the United States and Britain. In such a situation, you also have to open the transaction very carefully in all cases. After all, you have limited access to local travel. Even today we have made decisions in the case of hotels, restaurants, shops.
Mr. Thackeray also said that there was a demand from some other areas to relax the restrictions and we will take a decision on this with full care.
