Presentation of Task Force Recommendations on National Education Policy.
The recommendations and suggestions of the task force set up under the chairmanship of senior scientist Dr Raghunath Mashelkar to study the National Education Policy 2020 and submit a report to the state government will be acted upon by the state government as soon as possible, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said here today. He said that all possible measures would be taken as per the recommendations of the task force to ensure the overall development of the state in terms of education and to keep the state at the forefront in this field.
The report prepared by the task force was informed at the Chief Minister’s Varsha residence today. On behalf of the committee members, a copy of the report was handed over to Chief Minister Mr Thackeray.
Dr. Mashelkar informed about the work done by the task force in line with the National Education Policy 2020 and various recommendations made to the state government. As per the recommendations, immediate action will be taken in the Cabinet and action will be taken on it, said the Minister.
Chief Minister Mr Thackeray said that this issue is very important and future-oriented. Education is going to be a very important part of the post-Corona world. It is equally important to make a living after education. Digital education is important in changing times, but it also requires the creation of the necessary infrastructure. Corona taught us a lot. Work from home, online learning started. Activities like Virtual Education, availability of textbooks through tabs were implemented in Mumbai Municipal Corporation. If children are taught through animation or drawing, it is immediately understood. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on such innovative concepts in the future, he said.
It is also necessary to reduce the burden of backpacks on the backs of children. With the changing times, digital learning, learning of various languages like English, German is also essential. Against this backdrop, the task force has submitted its report to the state government at the appropriate time for the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020. All the measures will be taken to keep Maharashtra in the forefront of education by implementing the suggestions as soon as possible, said Chief Minister Mr Thackeray.
The members of the task force also discussed various issues and made suggestions for the effective implementation of the National Education Policy.
