Mental Health Day Celebrated at the Regional Psychiatric Hospital.
Pune 11th: Mental Health Day was celebrated at the Regional Psychiatric Hospital at Yerawada jointly by District Judicial Service Authority Pune, Symbiosis Law College, Pune and Regional Psychiatric Hospital, Pune. Information was given on ‘Laws for the Psychiatric’ and ‘Various Government Schemes for the Psychiatric’.
Dr Yogita Gosavi, a psychiatrist at the psychiatric hospital, spoke about the legal issues involved in working for psychiatric patients. The superintendent of the hospital, Dr Abhijeet Fadnis and District Legal Services Authority Secretary Pratap Sawant, Prof. Shirish Kulkarni, Dr Ashish Deshpande, Dr Girija Mahale provided guidance on various topics.
The event was attended by psychiatrists working in psychiatric hospitals, medical officers, nursing staff, occupational therapists as well as social service superintendents.
