Minister Dr Rajendra Shingane’s visit to Halfkin Institute
Pune: Food and Drug Administration Minister Dr Rajendra Shingane paid a visit to the Halfkin Biopharmaceutical Corporation project at Pimpri-Chinchwad and got information about its operations.
Suresh Patil, Joint Commissioner, Food and Drug Administration, Kondiba Gadewar, Assistant Commissioner, Dr Babasaheb Kurhe, Head of the Corporation, Navnath Garje of the Quality Department, Milind Kallikar of the Manufacturing Department and Prafulla Borde of the Engineering Department were present on the occasion.
Dr Mr Shingane visited the Department of Antidote Production, Quality Assurance, Production, Veterinary Department and learned about the research being done by the Corporation, drug production capacity, demand for drugs, supply, quality, storage and testing process.
Mr Kurhe gave information about the available space and manpower of the organization. He said vaccines were being produced for snake bites, scorpion bites, snake bites, dog bites, gas gangrene and antidote.
