More stringent restrictions to prevent the spread of covid omicron.
Only 50 people were allowed for wedding ceremonies, socio-religious events.
MUMBAI: As a precautionary measure, the government has reduced the number of people attending wedding ceremonies, social, religious, cultural and political events to 50 and only 20 people have been allowed to attend the funeral.
This information has been given in the circular issued by the state government; Attendance for conferences held in confined spaces or open halls has been reduced from 100 to 50.
Similarly, the limit has been reduced to 50 for religious, cultural, social or political events taking place in a hall or in an open space. These restrictions will take effect from 12:00 pm on the night of 31 December 2021.
The circular further states that the maximum attendance for the funeral will now be 20. Similarly, in the case of tourist attractions in the state, such as beaches, playgrounds, attracting more people, the competent authority may, if necessary, impose 144 CRPC in addition to all the restrictions imposed as per the order dated 24th December.
Apart from this, all the restrictions imposed as per the order of others will remain in force till the next order.
