Mumbai: Experimental activities are being implemented by the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) on the occasion of New Year, keeping in mind the attraction of the environment and tourists. The corporation is ready to offer a feast of clean and beautiful beaches, historic forts, ancient temples and culture, lush nature, ayurvedic and natural delicacies.
As the health of the tourists is also being taken care of by following the guidelines of the government regarding Covid, an appeal has been made by the Pune Regional Division of the Corporation to make it a memorable occasion for the tourists to bid farewell to the declining year.
Seeing the complementary environment for tourism, tourists are flocking to nature. For their convenience, all the tourist residences/resorts of the corporation are open and they are ready to provide high-quality services and health facilities to the tourists.
It is proposed to conduct yoga and wellness camps and activities like local excursions, treks, trekking will be implemented. Various hobbies, traditional sports etc. will be given priority. For this, local artists, professionals associated with the tourism industry are being encouraged.
The corporation also intends to offer small entertainment and cultural programs in tourist accommodation. After the impact of the Corona has diminished, the corporation has provided a wide range of amenities to the tourists and after nearly two years, the tourists have been able to enjoy free tourism, nature and delicious food.
Information on tourism facilities, food, information about the surrounding nature, local sports, traditions, cultural events, wildlife, arboriculture as well as precautionary measures to be taken for tourists by the corporation, safety measures is also being provided through the website, Facebook and WhatsApp group.
Disinfection measures are being taken in tourist accommodation and accommodation, restaurants and accessories are being strictly cleaned and disinfected. There is also a system for measuring body temperature, sanitizing spray, oximeter, mask, gloves. Facilities will be provided for emergency medical purposes. Tourists are giving preference to the tourist accommodation of the corporation and 90 per cent reservation has been made for the tourist accommodation of the corporation in December.
