MTDC is ready to welcome tourists in Diwali, The winter tourism season.
Mumbai: – As the influence of Corona is diminishing, the government has given relief to the tourists by opening almost all the tourist places. Tourists have also started planning for the winter tourism season by reserving Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) tourist accommodation. The corporation has also announced various facilities and special concessions as tourists are flocking to the tourist spots due to the wintry and Diwali holidays. Deepak Harne, Pune Regional Manager, Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation, has appealed to the tourists to take advantage of this as the corporation is ready to welcome tourists with various facilities.
A few days ago, the new website of the corporation www.mtdc.co was inaugurated by the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister. It will be possible to make reservations for the Corporation’s tourist accommodation through this new website. The renovated tourist accommodation and trained staff of the corporation are trying their best to double the joy of Diwali for the tourists.
Concessions to various constituents through MTDC
The corporation is preparing to implement new concepts for winter tourism and the Diwali holidays. Various concessions have been announced for tourists. Concessions for advance booking have been announced for senior citizens, government employees. Special concessions have been given to veterans and the disabled while maintaining social commitment. Discount is being given if group booking has more than 20 rooms. Special discounts are also being offered for school trips. In addition, tourists are happy that the ‘complimentary breakfast’ has started from October 1.
The Corona Prevention Guidelines issued by the government are being strictly followed while giving top priority to the safety of tourists in tourist accommodation. The restaurant, resort and ancillary facilities as well as the premises have been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Facilities will be provided to the tourists for emergency medical purposes and if necessary, medical treatment will be provided at the tourist accommodation on the demand of the tourists. Body temperature measuring system, sanitiser has already been set up. Employees have been vaccinated against corona. Snacks, meals and other essential amenities are being provided to the tourists to their rooms to avoid crowding in the restaurants of the corporation. Pre-wedding photoshoots and destination weddings will also be arranged subject to all government regulations. WiFi facility is also being provided at some resorts. Therefore, by staying in this tourist accommodation, children will be able to take online classes and parents will also be able to work online.
The reservation of all tourist accommodation of Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation has been started and online reservation has also been started on the website www.mtdc.co, said Mr Harne.
