No more than 125 decibels of sound chain firecrackers.
Pune: – On the backdrop of Diwali celebrations, the city’s Joint Commissioner of Police Dr Ravindra Shiswe has imposed a complete ban on noise polluting firecrackers in the jurisdiction of Pune Police Commissionerate from midnight on November 1 to 12 noon on November 30, 2021, from 10 pm to 6 am as per Maharashtra Police Act 1951.
It is also forbidden to blow all chain firecrackers with more than 100 firecrackers and more than 125 decibels of noise during this period. To arbitrarily blow up any firecrackers within 50 feet of any road or street or to release or throw firecrackers or to fire balloons or fireballs, to sell and use the product of firecrackers which produce 125-decibel noise at a distance of 4 meters from the place of a firecracker. Being prohibited.
If the chain firecrackers are 50 to 100 and 100 and above, the noise limit should not exceed 110 or 115 and 125 decibels at a distance of 4 meters from the place where the firecrackers are fired.
Violators of this order will be liable to legal punishment under Section 131 of the Maharashtra Police Act, the order said.
